CrewAI is the role-based multi-agent framework: instead of drawing graphs, you describe a team — each agent gets a role, a goal and a backstory — and the framework runs the collaboration. That ergonomics pitch made it one of the most-starred agent frameworks (about 59,000 GitHub stars) with a large certified-developer community; the company sells the AMP platform for deploying and governing crews in production.
How it works
You assemble a 'crew' of agents with roles, goals and backstories, give the crew tasks, and CrewAI orchestrates the collaboration; its second layer, Flows, adds event-driven control for production workflows.
